In Currumbin Sanctuary, Palm Beach, QLD, Australia (Feb. 27, 1997).

Red-brown is more striking on the photo, and Japanese name "KIN-BATO"of this bird meaning "Gold Dove" is suitable to it. However, actually it is conspicuous for the green which is as vivid as that of Wompoo fruit Dove. The birds in Currumbin Sanctuary were very sociable, and came to us at a very short distance.
There are birds belonging to the same species also in Okinawa, Japan.
