Cattle Egret
Cattle Egret

In a rice field near the MANO-RIVER, SHIGA, May 27, 1997.
I moved from NARA to here SHIGA this February. I have wanted to take pictures of cattle egrets since I saw them from a train window in my NARA days. However, the other day a cattle egret came to a rice field just near my new home in SHIGA. I feed attraction for this bird's flaxen head. It is as large as Little egret, but the neck is thicker, so it does not look slender as other egrets do.
