SMALL MASCOT DOLL

TEMPLATES FOR THE DOLL PATTERN

MATERIALS:
Good quality felt(skin color, grey, wine-red, white), Embroidery thread(matching color), Polyester filling, Dark-brown thin yarn (2 or 3 ply), 2 small black beads, Chain and ring(if you have), Glue for cloth
TOOLS:
Needle, Scissors, Stick for stuffing

	MAKING:Sew with the hem-stitch or open-button hole-stitch 1-1. Draw round each pattern piece, and cut out each piece. 1-2. Fold and sew the arm,leaving the opening. Sew the leg in the same way. 1-3. Stuff the filling with a stick, and close the opening. (Don't stuff too mutch for the girl's legs. Because she'll put more cloths on than the boy.) 1-4. Bend the center of the arms, and sew like F.1 making the neck. 1-5. Bend the center of the legs and sew, too. Then fit the arms and the legs,and sew tightly.(see F.1 well)
	2-1. Sew both sides of the pants, and put and sew it on the body. 2-2. (ONLY FOR THE GIRL) Sew the skirt like a ring, and fold to make pleats at the front and the back one by one. Then put and sew it on the body. See F.2 well.
	3-1. Place the tie and collar on the piece of the jacket, and check up the position. Sew the tie first. 3-2. Stick the collar with a bit of glue, and sew a white embroidery thread back-stitch like F.3. 3-3. Fold it and sew both sides of the jacket. Put it on the body. 3-4. Sew a running stitch around the cuff, pull up, and fasten.
	4-1. With the face and the head together, and sew around. 4-2. Snip a hole at the head(see F.4 well)the size as the neck can be in. Be careful not to cut the face. 4-3. Stuff the head, and push the neck into the hole. Sew around the neck tightly. 4-4. Sew the eyes of two beads on with a black thread.
	5-1. Make a 8cm(3")x 30-40 pieces of yarn hank, put and sew it on the top of the head. (when you make a boy's doll, it will be shorter.) 5-2. Paste these yarns on the head with the glue.(both the front and the back) 5-3. Cut the hair depending your like. 5-4. Stitch all around the beret, and snip the hole on one side of it. Turn it from the hole, and paste it on the head with the glue.
	6-1. Stick with the long needle and the strong thread into the back of the neck, and pull it out of the top of the head. Then fix the chain to the head with it. If you have no chain, use only the thread or strap. 6-2. Finish up with putting rouge on the cheeks. You may change the design or the color of their cloths. Please try!
