We can find Marasmius maximus very commonly in the spring field, especially in the bamboo grove in Japan. Below specimen was found under the accumulated bamboo leaves. Usually the color of the cap is more yellowish than this specimen. This specimen maybe became pale without receiving sun light like soybean sprouts.
The cap is soft and edible while the stipe is too hard to go to kitchen.
