Armillariella mellea is a pest for forestry. People try to kill them by agricultural chemicals. However, people always fail because their hyphae is tough enough to protect themselves like steel coating rope.
Meantime, the size of each hyphae unit is said to become almost 1 square km, which means Armillariella mellea is the largest of all creature in the world.
