Russula nigricans

We can find them very commonly in the broad leaf forest. Their cap is brownish black and same color as soil or fallen leaves. Their flesh is white, but once damaged, it turns to red and finally to black. The similar species, Russula subnigricans is deadly poisonous. It is distinguishable by the change of the flesh color. The latter does not change the color to black.
