Insect Stamp of Senegal

There is Senegal which is world eminent peanut production country in the most west end of the African Continent. A kingdom of the Wolof who was a local tribe was formed from the 14th century to the 16th century, and a visit to a shore of a European began in the 15th century. A French follower received it in 1815, and French West Africa federation was formed in 1895. 1950's began, and the time of independence swelled, and it was it in a French self-government republic in 1958 and formed neighboring country Mali and a federation in 1959 and understood it with Mali in 1960 and achieved independence. President first generation builds the comparatively stable long-term government with Senghor until 1980, and it is inherited afterwards by the Diouf President.
Five kinds of insect stamps were issued from Senegal in 1997. The insect of the Africa specialty is chosen, and it is drawn ecologically, and is one of the favorite stamps.
