Red carp of the color of the body appears in Carp. The most of kinds of Goldfish were based on this Red carp, and then it screened the change thing which it appeared artificially and chose it, and it was created by mutation and a crossing. There are a lot of kinds in Goldfish, and a new kind is made now. A characteristic is seen in shortening / the tail fin of the figure and the change of prominence / the color of the body of disappearance / the eyeball of buttocks fin transformation / the dorsal fin when it looks over them.
The place of origin of Goldfish is China. It was already discovered in the southern part in China about 700 years ago, and the breeding was done in the Soong times of about before 1000. It became popular still more in the light times 400 years ago, and the sorting selection was performed, too. There is a kind of more than 20 in current Japan.
