Insect Stamp of Morocco

Morocco is a politically stable kingdom in Africa. In the 17th century, the Alaouite dynasty was established. In 1912, most of the country was divided into France and the northern region into Spain. In 1956 it gained independence, and in 1957 it was renamed the Kingdom of Morocco.
The small Spanish territory of Ifni remained within the Kingdom of Morocco, but in 1969 it was annexed to the Kingdom of Morocco.
Western Sahara is a region in which ownership is disputed with Morocco, but it became a Spanish protectorate in 1884, and after World War I it was integrated into southern Morocco, but in 1958 it became a Spanish province again.
Insect stamps were issued from Spanish Ifni in 1963, 1964 and 1965.
Insect stamps were issued from Spanish Sahara in 1964 and 1965. Although they are monochrome, they are beautifully depicted ecologically.
The Kingdom of Morocco issued two types of butterfly stamps in 1981 and 1982.
