Insect Stamp of Belize

In 1502, Columbus visited a shore in Central and South America Belize which was a part of the Maya civilization that prospered in the ninth century from the fourth century. It became a British colony afterwards via Spain territory from 1862. It got autonomy in 1964 and renamed the name of a country to Belize from British Honduras in 1973 and achieved independence in 1981.
12 kinds of insect stamps were issued from Belize in 1995. Kinds drawn as an insect stamp for the first time, such as Giant Water Bug, Alligator Bug, and Dobsonfly, are many and ecological designs, and are one of the very favorite stamps.
