Insect Stamp of Ascension Island

The Ascension island is the colony in Britain and is the volcanic island which is on the southern Atlantic Ocean located in 1131km northwest of St.Helena Island and located in 1700 miles from Brazil and 1300 miles from Angola. The Ascension island is the 88 square kilo of area, population 1103 people (March, 1999) and administratively belongs to St.Helena. The U.S. Forces used it as a guided missile tracking station, and English air force also established the garrison newly in 1984. The Falkland Islands etc. is an important relay ground to the direction of the southern Atlantic Ocean, and is the sources of an income where sightseeing is main.
