Insect Stamp of Angola

Angola in Africa became independent of Portugal that had been colonialized for about 400 years, November 11, 1975 as the Angola people republic.
The government of MPLA was approved in 1976 one by one in the world. In 1984, FNLA surrendered to the government, but as for UNITA, the guerrilla kept struggling under the support of the west side power.
The peace accord that MPLA and UNITA legalized the civil war conclusion and all political parties when the entering cold war ended in 1990's was signed. In 1992, the election was executed under the watch of United Nations (UNAVEM) and MPLA acquired more than half the number, but UNITA refused the election result because of injustice and it rushed into the civil war. Help to UNITA by foreign power was formally stopped by next year. The war refugee will say that 3.6 million people and 500,000 people were killed by the end of 1994 years. MPLA had the oilfield in the northern part, and after the cold war, UNITA became a situation of resource war as the diamond mine in the vicinity of a northeastern Zairean border was suppressed.
MPLA and UNITA signed a conference and a repeated peace accord for 1994 years in Zambia. However, it doesn't advance at all, and the skirmish with the government continues to the disarmament of the UNITA army. When it entered 1997, and neighboring country Zaire collapsed, the supply of arms was refused as for UNITA, and the combat continuation became difficult. And, an integrated government of MPLA and UNITA established in April, and the civil war that had continued for 20 years or more ended formally.
