Salary and Bonus Cuts at National Universities

Salaries at national universities were cut by 2% in December 2002.
(For employees with yearly contracts, e.g. Gaikokujin-kyoshi, the salary cut came into effect in April 2003.)

June: 2.05 months
December: 2.1 months
March: 0.55 months
total: 4.7 months' salary

Bonus system in fiscal 2002 (Heisei 14):
June: 2.05 months
December: 2.4 months
March: 0.2 months
total: 4.65 months' salary

There will be no more March bonus.
