The next AITC is coming. So I decided to register our website to
Yahoo! JAPAN. After struggling for the registration site, I found
that the Yahoo staff screen all the homepages that are recommended
to them in order to be registered, which means our homepage is not
necessarily registered even if we want it to.
They also say
that, though webmasters do not recommend their websites, they may
register the ones whose qualities satisfy their own standard. In
this case, the website is registered while its webmaster does not
know it.
At this moment, I remembered that Sue had told me
that she found our website through Yahoo! So I searched our website
through it and confirmed that it had been already
registered.
When I saw the search results, I found that the
first few sentences of the top (home) page of our website were cited
for the description of the content of our website, which did not
sound interesting at all. This is why I have re-written the top
page.
From now on, even if you haven't add the URL of our
website to your "favorites", yet you can visit our website through
Yahoo! JAPAN by typing "aitc" or "AITC." Yahoo! is the biggest
search engine in Japan, and used as the homepage, which means the
first page you see when you opne the Internet browser( Internet
Explorer, Netscape, etc). So, you have an easy access to the AITC
Official Website at your workplace.
