This command examplifies Clipped Klingon, an abbreviated form of the language used in the ***[?] battle or when one is angry or excited. In Clipped Klingon, ***[?] elements are left out. In this case, baH lacks the prefix that indicates that it's the command, ***[?] commonly yI-. The full or proper form of the command is yIbaH. The verb baH, translated "fire", refers to firing one or number of torpedos, missiles or rockets.
この命令は除端クリンゴン語(Clipped Klingon)の例である。除端クリンゴン語とはクリンゴン語の省略された形であり、戦闘時や話者が怒っていたり興奮している時などに使われる。除端クリンゴン語では***な要素は省略される。ここでの場合、baHにはそれが命令であることを示す接頭辞、***通常ならyI-***が抜けている。この命令の完全で正式な形はyIbaHである。「撃つ」と訳される動詞baHは、魚雷やミサイルやロケット弾などを撃つことを表わす。
The Clipped Klingon form of this command would be wIy cha'.

The Clipped Klingon form of this command would be chuyDaH laQ. The verb laQ could even be left out, reducing the command to simply chuyDaH, literally "thrusters ! ".
この命令の除端形はchuyDaH laQとなる。動詞laQさえも省略して、この命令は単にchuyDaHまで縮めることが出来る。これは直訳すると「スラスター!」である。
The word for "cloaking device" is So'wI', literally "something that cloaks". The verb chu', ***[?] in the command yIchu' "engage it", means "activate the device of any kind."
「遮蔽装置」に当たる語はSo'wI'で、直訳すると「隠すもの」である。命令yIchu'「それを作動させろ」中のchu'は「何かしらの装置を作動させる」という意味である。
Klingon questions which require yes-or-no answer are formed by adding -'a' to the verb. If ***[?] -'a' off, bIyaj means "you understand".
クリンゴン語で「はい」か「いいえ」で答える疑問文は動詞に-'a'を付けてつくられる。-'a'がなければ、bIyajは「あなたはわかります」という意味になる。
In Klingon "I understand" is a simple word, consisting of a verb yaj meaning "understand" proceeded by a prefix jI- meaning "I". jI- is not a word in its own right.
クリンゴン語で「私はわかります」は、「わかる」という意味の動詞yajの前に「私は」という意味の接頭辞jI-が付いて、1つの単語になる。jI-はそれだけでは単語にはならない。
The Klingon word botjan refers to shields that are protect force fields on the ship. The handheld shield associated with traditional hand-to-hand combat is called yoD.
クリンゴン語のbotjanは船の防御用フォース・フィールドなどのshield(シールド)を表わす。昔ながらの肉弾戦に使われる手に持つshield(盾)はyoghと呼ばれる。

This word ***[?] the general Klingon plural suffix -mey. Although nISwI' could refer to a single disruptor weapon or many disruptors, the presence of -mey clarifies that many weapons are being refered to.
この語はクリンゴン語の複数を示す一般的な接尾辞-meyを***する。nISwI'でも1つのディスラプターも沢山のディスラプターも示すことが出来るが、-meyがあることで複数のものが言及されていることが明確になる。
The Klingon word for "transporter beam" is jol. There is also a verb jol which means "beam aboard". jol yIchu' doesn't indicate who's being beamed, but it is possible to be ***[?]. "Beam me up" is HIjol.
「転送光線」に当たるクリンゴン語はjolである。jolという動詞もあり、これは「転送する」という意味である。jol yIchu'は誰が転送されるかは示していないが、***は可能である。「私を転送しろ」はHIjoLである。
