**Museum City Project**
Museum City Project(MCP) is a non-profit organization which conducts resarch and various art related activities under the theme“Coexistance of City and Art".

MCP is managed by the MCP executive committee who's members are drawn from local government, various business enterprises and people involved in art.

"Museum City Tenjin(MCT)" exhibition is held biennially as the MCP's main activity, in an effort to create it a unique international art exhibition which makes use of Fukuoka's urban space. We hope this will become a permanent event.

MCP has also organized the exhibitions irregularly that have specific themes like the Chinese avant-garde artists exhibition, "Exceptional Passage", in 1991.

MCP's activities include concept development, planning, advising and coodination of public art programs and projects. Promote of exchange between foreign artists or curators and art circles in Fukuoka. Create central information center which will distribute information about Japanese artists and their activities in making better environment and system. Promote educational activites and programs on the arts.
