Compared with the standard model, an engine power is reinforced from 50PS to 70PS,
and torque is reinforced from 7.9kgm to 8.5kgm by tuning (e.g. exchange of a carburetor,
rising a compression ratio , etc.).
On the other hand, final gear ratio is lowered from 4.071 to 4.462.
These specifications are same as A112 ABARTH.
(Though A112 ABARTH is used a OHV engine.)
So that, although a body is somewhat large,
FIAT 127 Sport is comparable with A112 ABARTH, MINI DE TOMASO, etc.
By the way, the same engine with turbo is used in LANCIA Y10 TURBO.
