at 1330. Poor. Recently utility station on the same frequency
covered with the station, so I could not have picked up the

5039.96 RRI Pekanbaru. 1320 News from Jakarta then local program and
ID at 1320.SINPO 22342 (Feb 10, 2000, Nobuo Takeno, JAPAN)
5046.37 RRI Yogyakarta,now reactived.1259 ID then news from Jakarta
relay.1330 Time pips and Local News program.ID as "Inilah
Radio Republik Indonesia Yogyakarta warta berita" .Yogyakarta
heard as "Jogjakarta".SINPO 23342 to 33443.

5046.4 RRI Yogyakarta. Reactivated. Telephone conversation program
at 1425. This day was local all night program. Still heard
at past 1800. Nobuo Takeno pointed out ID was heard like as
"Radio Republik Indonesia Jogjakarta". I got the tape from
him and confirmed that ID was heard as "Radio Republik
Indonesia Yogyakarta dengan Warta Berita Daerah" at 1330.
The station was inactive in the local eveving on 11,
February, but the next day was heard again. 13 February
was inactive. This is irregular broadcast.

6069.8 RRI Jayapura. Lagu hiburan at 1019. Educational program as
"Siaran Pendidikan" at 1130. At 1145 lagu hibran again, and
switched to 6070.9kHz at 1159. Usually R.Pyongyang on 6070kHz
blocked the signal, but Pyongyang was inactive on this day.
Fair signal in spite of interference from R.Thailand.

6154.6 RRI Biak. Local pops program at 0945. ID at 1016 as "Radio
Republik Indonesia Biak, Programa...". The frequency was
slightly up than usual 6153.4kHz. Fair.

9525.0 V.O.Indonesia, Cimanggis. German program at 1827. Indonesian
pops, ID, Gamelan music, news and closing announcement with
Love Ambon. Good. This frequency was heard on this day only.
The next day was heard on 11785kHz.

RRI Yogyakarta on 5046.4kHz reactivated on February 10, 2000, but seems
to irregular broadcast. (Juichi Yamada, JAPAN)
RRI Ternate on 3345kHz is inactive in February, 2000.

RRI Fakfak, which broadcasts from Papua - formerly known
as Irian Jaya - was knocked off the air after being looted and
ransacked on Friday, January 29, according to newswire detik.com.
Although the causes of the riot is unknown witnesses state that
local residents have been upset that the state-run broadcaster
continued to call the province "Irian Jaya" and not "Papua" as had
been declared by President Wahid earlier this year. RRI Fakfak now
refuse to return to work until their security can be guaranteed.
