off at 1605 after Love Ambon tune.

Jakarta news relay. After the relay, closing announcement
with Love Ambon. Signed off at 1514. Poor.

3976.1 RRI Pontianak. Reactivated. Local IS at 1128 and ID as
"Radio Republik Indonesia Pontianak dengan Warta Berita
Daerah. Sari berita penting." Local news at 1130. Fair.

3987 RRI Manokwari. 1127 Soft female and male vocal music
program, ID at 1130.

4777.1 RRI Jakarta, Kebayoran. Inactive again since the middle of
May. (May 17, 1999, Juichi Yamada, JAPAN)
4789.1 RRI Fak Fak. Local pops at 1151. ID by female at 1157 as
"Radio Republik Indonesia Fak Fak" then SCI and followed
to Jakarta news. Local ID again at 1121 & 1122 and local

4874.5 RRI Sorong. Local news at 1103. ID by female at 1107 as
"R.R.I.Sorong...Programa Satu" then Karaoke music program.
This program was consisted of Indonesian pops sung by
listeners by telephone. Very enjoyable. This is the first
time for me to listen to the program style like this.
"R.R.I.Sorong" ID again at 1158 and SCI. The signal
finished part of Jakarta news at 1207. Fair.

4925.0 RRI Jambi. Local pops at 1552. ID at 1559 as "Radio
Republik Indonesia Jambi" and SCI. Jakarta news relay at
1600. Usually switches its frequency to 4927kHz at 1400,
but still heard 4925kHz at this time today only. //3355kHz
on weak signal with low moduration. Fair.

4931 RRI Surakarta 1140-1155 with non-stop male vocals (Indo
pop). This one fades badly after 1200. (May 2 is Sunday.
In my opinion, the station usually operates on Saturday
only. Recently the station was inactive even Saturday.
In adition this, David Foster presumed that the
transmitter has finally met its maker.-ed)

RRI Pontianak 3977kHz: QSL-card and personal letter by registered mail,
5 weeks. after follow-up with SASE, 4 years. after original report.
V/S St. Ruddy Banding, Kepala Seksi Siaran. Street address is same
as in WRTH, but P.O. Box is given on letter head as Kotak Pos No.
