Gerhard Werdin on the spot rpts. No doubt on all night with wayang.

noted at 2100. Don't recollect hearing them lately in local

ID at 1930, then Local pop music (May 4, Nobuo Takeno, JAPAN)
3960.2 RRI Palu(presumed). Female talk & local pops at 1244. SCI at 1258.
Jakarta news relay at 1300. Very poor. North Korean station on
3960kHz was not heard at this time today.

4845.2 RRI Ambon. Opening music at 1958 which is same as opening music
of RRI Ternate and RRI Jakarta Programa Nasional Dua. SCI at 1959.
Jakarta news relay at 2000. ID by female at 2007 as "Radio Republik

4925 RRI Jambi. 1125-1132, 33443. Isramic music,then electrical chime
IS, ID as "Radio Republik Indonesia Jambi" at 1130 by male, local

6069.8 RRI Jayapura. At 2046 stretching exercise program. Its music was
different from that of RRI Merauke & RRI Serui. At 2059 SCI and
Jakarta nres relay at 2100. Fair to poor.

7173.2 RRI Serui. Local pops at 1330. ID at 1402 as "Inilah Radio Republik
Indonesia Serui". Fair. Usually 4606.3kHz is heard at this time.

9741.6 RRI Sorong. Local news at 2135. ID by female at 2142 as "Inilah
Radio Republik Indonesia Sorong" then commercials. Fair.

DX NEWS-------------------------------------------------------------------
RRI Sorong on 4874.6kHz was inactive since April 11. But a few days this
frequency was reactivated in the middle of April. Now the station uses
9741.6kHz in stead of 4874.6kHz. According to my monitoring at 1000-
1200 on April 28, The local news was heard at 1100 and Jakarta news

RRI Bandung is back on 3204.4v with a fair carrier but low level and
distorted audio.

RRI Fak Fak uses 4789.1kHz in the local evening broadcast instead of

RRI Kupang on 3385.0kHz reactivated from the end of April. Its sign off
time is now 1515 with Love Ambon. (Juichi Yamada, JAPAN)
RRI Serui on 4606.3kHz now signs off at 1530. (Juichi Yamada, JAPAN)
RRI Manado on 3215.0kHz now signs off at 1515. (Juichi Yamada, JAPAN)

MONITORING REPORT--------------------------------------------------------
Mini-survey of what (and what not) has been heard here in Bandung during
the month of April, mostly local evenings (from 1000 UTC); still
suffering from regular heavy Monsoon thunderstorms local afternoons
and evenings, making listening difficult, even impossible for those
low-power East-Indonesian RPDT's. There may be a draught elsewhere in
Indonesia, but we certainly don't have a water shortage here in West
Java.
3204.4 RRI Bandung, definitely // 540, regular from around 1000. Strong
carrier, but very low-level modulation, also generating modulation
products every 9 kHz over a band of +/- 50 kHz.
3214.8 RRI Manado, unheard lately, but this always being a poor signal
here, may be drowned in high static.
3222.9 RRI Mataram, unheard lately, apparently inactive
3224.8 RRI Tanjung Karang, unheard lately, apparently inactive
3231.8 RRI Bukittingi, unheard lately, apparently inactive
3249.8 RRI Banjarmasin, unheard lately, apparently inactive
3264.67 RRI Gorontalo (pres.), audio with a clear het ; presumed this one
Gorontalo, since reported to be the lower one here
3264.88 RRI Bengkulu (pres.), there are clearly two separate carriers here
(cf. previous entry), but this one definitely weaker, audio cannot
be separated from other stn
3264.88 RRI Bengkulu for sure, ID on 28/4 at 1440 after berita keluarga,
s/off around 1600
3325 RRI Palangkaraja, this is one of the strongest and most regular
in the 90 mB.
3344.86 RRI Ternate, weak but audible
3355.20 RRI Jambi, first noticed 25/4, change-over from 4925 at 1300, until
cl/down 1700; RRI Sumenep previously here seems to be inactive
3355.20/4925 RRI Jambi; change-over from 4925 to 3355 on 26/4 at 1300,
on 30/4 at 1300, on 28/4 (Holiday in INS) 3355 s/on at 1400, but
4925 stayed on // until 1600 s/off; 3355 s/off 1700
3385 RRI Kupang, hrd 28/4 with clear ID at 1307 after relay of
Jakarta news, s/off 1500 or later
3395.14 RRI Tanjungkarang, another strong and regular 90mB-station; but
heard announcing as RRI Bandar Lampung; these are twin-cities and
it seems that Bandar Lampung is now dominating, also the airport
there is called now Bandar Lampung, but still bears the
designation TKG.
3905 RRI Merauke (pres.), no ID hrd, but certainly there is now only
one RRI station here
3933.94 RRI Semarang s/on 1030; hrd on a Saturday with Wayang performance
past 1700, also on progress local mornings at 0000 UTC.
3959.74 RRI Padang (tent.) 28/4 s/on resp. changeover from 4003/4000 at
1700; QRG clearly lower than RRI Palu (3960.31 ... 3960.26)
which was off since at least 1600.
3960.31 RRI Palu, s/on 1000 or earlier, quite strong signal
3976.05 RRI Pontianak, s/on 1000 or earlier, this is definitely the
strongest RRI in the 75 mB.
3985.74 RRI Surabaya, s/on 1000 or earlier, recently hrd on a Saturday
with Wayang performance; can't make out from the music whether
it's Wayang Kulit (Shadow play) or Wayang Golek (Puppet play);
apparently Wayang Kulit is more poopular in Central and east Java,
while Wayang Golek is usually found in West Java.
3996 can't hear anything around this QRG
3999.96 only heard local mornings around 0000 UTC; freq. is slightly
lower than the one in the evening, so presume this is not RRI
Kendari but RRI Padang; have to wait for an ID
3999.96 RRI Padang, alt. freq. to 4003.2, last heard there 27/4, since 28/4
on this lower QRG, making it difficult to separate it from only
slightly higher RRI Kendari. Clear ID on 28/4 at 1630 when
Kendari already off, schedule seems 1000 or earlier to 1700.
4000.17 RRI Kendari, last heard 27/4 with clear ID at 1135; in LSB-narrow
mode clearly separable from RRI Padang (cf. next entry); nothing on
this QRG local mornings
4003.19 RRI Padang, last heard 27/4 at 1130 with Islamic pop.
4075 can't hear anything around this QRG; seems that logging of Blitar
here was wishful listening
4606.4 RRI Serui, weak but audible and regular
4696.91 R KIP, Surabaya, recently heard on a Saturday relaying the Wayang
performance from RRI Surabaya
4753.36 RRI Ujung Pandang, s/on 1000 or earlier; mornings until 0000 s/off
4766 can't hear any station despite checking for several days (weekdays
and weekends), local mornings and evenings, not even a slight
carrier; so where is RRI Medan reported to be reactivated ?
4777.12 RRI Jakarta, usual distorted audio
4789.13 RRI Fak-Fak, often buried in heavy QRM
4845 RRI Ambon, presumed to be here, only het audible under dominating
RTM in Tamil
4874 RRI Sorong, have yet to log this one reported to be reactivated
4925 RRI Jambi, now s/off here at 1300 in favour of 3355, 4927 seems
not in use nowadays
5040 RRI RRI Pekanbaru, regularly mornings and evenings, although QRG
evenings dominated by Fujian PBS
7098.52 RRI Yogyakarta, hrd 28/4 from 2315, with En nx at 0030-0040 with
clear ID, s/off 0100
9552.53 RRI Ujung Pandang, very regular here, hrd at 2355 in // 4753
9614.28 RRI Samarinda, htd approx. 0200-0600, although until 0250 virtually
blocked by DW in En.
