世界の平和と未来の栄光を。輝け！白銀のアルプスを背景とした信濃路に。

夢ときらめきの開会式が進む The Opening ceremony is going.

聖火点火。世界は「第九」でひとつ。 The Flame up and All people sang "Ode to Joy"

閉会式・大合唱ソング The Closing Ceremony song "FURUSATO"


 


オリンピックで心はひとつ！
 

長野オリンピック開会式は次の心で計画されているそうです。

第１に、希望。　古い歴史と伝統。美しい文化を世界中にお伝えしたい、との希望です。

第２に、祈り。　来るべき２１世紀には、豊かさと思いやりの心を。平和への祈りです。

第３に、提案。　真に平和を願い、「歓喜の歌」で５大陸をつなぐ連帯を、の提案です。

第１８回冬季オリンピックの開会式は、新しい世紀を迎える「希望の祭典の開幕」です。


私も妻とともに、必死に、「歓喜の歌」を練習し学び、力一杯の発声で参画をしました。






 All people unite in Olympic!
 
We hear Nagano Olympic Seremony is designed as follows,

The first is Hope.　We wish to show you the traditional and beautiful Culture.
The second is a Pray.　We pray for enrichment, mutual cosiderations and peace for all.
The third is a Proposal.　We propose that All people must be friend as An Die Freude chorus.

My wife and I learned eagerly and sang An Die Freude heartily wishing for the Peace.

善光寺の梵鐘が開始を告げる。冬の鐘楼。

世界の参加者・ベルリン。
　ニューヨーク。 シドニー。　中国。　ケープポイント。
The choir singers all over the world, Berlin. NewYork, Sydney, Beijin and CapePoint.
そして、日本。防寒具で身を固めた合唱隊員。
And Japan! The choir member wear something to protect against the cold.
マスコット「スノーレッツ」もお待ちしてました。
We are the mascot of Nagano Olympic: Snowlets.
開会１時間前のお客様。遠くにアルプスが見える。
開門は７時１５分でした。（身体チェックが厳しい）

The gates are opened at 7:15.
銀嶺で囲まれた開会式会場。長野から１０km.

The Opening Ceremony Stadium 10km south of Nagano-city.
飯綱山（1917m)。スパイラル・フリースタイルスキー会場がある。
Mt Iizuna.(1917m hight). There are the Spiral, Free style skiing venue.
厳しくそそりたつ戸隠連峰(1904m)が顔をのぞかせる。
飯綱から１０km。有名な「戸隠ソバ」の由来。
Mt.Togakushi range.(1904m heigt) You can see steep range.
Togakushi is famous for Soba:buchwead noodle.
御柱の奉納者１０００人が入場！　いよいよ儀式開始。
諏訪木遣り(66k.ra.43秒）が会場に響く。

オリンピック開催地「長野」は日本の中心に位置する自然の美しい山岳地帯です。

新幹線で東京から約９０分。美しい自然が皆様を心からお待ちしておりました。

今世紀最後のオリンピックを告げる「鐘」が、ここ信濃路に鳴り響きました。


Nagano is situated in the middle of Japan and have a natural beauty allwhere.

Welcome to Nagano! It takes about 90 minutes from Tokyo in Shinkansen-line.

The ringing of Zenkouji-temple Bell makes the opening of the Winter Olympic Games.
