Minato Mirai 21

The Minato Mirai 21 (MM21) area has a futuristic skyline and is an area well representing Yokohama as an advanced city. This area of the city was built on artificial land and designed with precise city planning. At Minato Mirai 21, you will find a variety of sites including an international conference hall, THE LANDMARK TOWER YOKOHAMA (the tallest building in Japan), hotels, offices, shopping centers, an amusement park, and an art museum.

In addition, journalists from around the world will gather at the Pacifico Yokohama international conference hall that will house the International Media Center (IMC) for the 2002 FIFA World Cup(TM).

NOTE:
The subway and TOKYU TOYOKO lines also stop at Sakuragi-cho station, so you can also access Minato Mirai 21 from those trains.

A \100 Bus also runs from the east gate of Yokohama station, so you can also access MM21 at a low fare. The bus leaves from the East gate bus terminal of Yokohama station (bus stop no. 14 on the first floor of SOGO). In the daytime, the bus runs at intervals of approximately 20 minutes.

There are also sea bus tours. You can access the sea bus marina from the second floor of SOGO at the East gate of Yokohama station. Sea buses can take you to Minato Mirai Pier (\350) and Yamashita park (\600). Although the sea bus trip is very short, the view is scenic, so the sea buses are very popular with tourists.
