In addition to futuristic buildings, Yokohama is home to a historic Japanese garden called Sankeien. Sankein is a beautiful Japanese garden where flowers bloom every season. You can soothe your soul in the vast and quiet garden.

Outer garden: open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission: Adults 300 yen/Children 60 yen
Inner garden: open 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission: Adults 300 yen/Children 120 yen
From JR Sakuragi-cho station, take the municipal bus (#8, 125) to Honmoku Sankeien-mae and then walk 3 minutes.
From JR Negishi station, take municipal bus (#54, 58, 99, 101, 108) to Honmoku and then walk 7 minutes. If you ride a taxi from JR Negishi station to Sankeien, the fare will be about 1,200 yen.
Also from the Yokohama sta. east exit, you can go by Municipal Bus (#8, 125).
Mosquitoes are active from July to around September, so I recommend you wear long sleeve clothes.
