(the double large primes procedure variation of the self-intializing quadratic sieve).
In general, it is faster than his PPMPQS.
For smaller numbers (up to 80 digits), PPSIQS works very effectively.

And also new version of PPMPQS (ver. 2.8) was released.
It includes the option for computing cyclotomic numbers.

Machines :
 A total of sixty-seven 560-866 MHz Pentium III machines running
 Linux were used to perform sieving on a factor base of 300000
