Robot Band Exhibition at KLESF 2023    
  Report of KLESF 2023.  
 
 

 
  Science Festival in Kuala Lumpur, which I also participated in 2019. Like last time, the Tatami Band also participated.  
 

 
  The robot band had 50kg of luggage, and the tatami band had 100kg of luggage. Apart from that, there were 28 kg of luggages for 4 people. Mr. John, the management staff, came to pick us up in two cars at the airport.  
 

 
  The venue is a convention center in the north of Kuala Lumpur.
There were many booths. There was a stage in the center, the left half was a company & university booth, and the right half was a student booth. High school and junior high school students were given a booth at each school to display their creations.
 
 

 
  Total 316 booths and many workshops area.

  I exhibited music robots, a fortune-telling robot, and a communication robot.  
 

 
  Malaysia has a large Muslim population, and many women wear hoods on their heads.  
 

 
  Exhibition included a handmade helmet and shrimp I bought for 100 yen.  
 

 
  Perhaps because it was close to Halloween, there were children wearing strange costumes.  
 

 
 

 
  Robot fortune telling.
Many visitors could read Chinese characters.
 
 

 
  The Japanese team brought some kimono and gave visitors a chance to try them on.  
 

 
  There was a girl at the venue wearing a checkered kimono.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is also popular in Malaysia.

  Next to the workshop space is a tatami musical instrument experience space.  
 

 
  There was a stage performance once a day. The stage is not used much and is not crowded except for the opening ceremony on the first day and the awards ceremony on the final day. There seemed to be a variety of awards, and at the award ceremony, teams from each school received certificates and medals.  
 

 
 

 
  In addition to singing, there were performances such as kendama (children's play), kimono dressing, and lion dance.
