Research->Drum Performance->Snare Drum
Information about drums and how to play by Mr.H, who is a drummer playing at "SugerSweet"in Osaka.
Introduction
The drum has snappy or wires on backside of the head. The snappy is called snare, so that's where the name "Snare Drum" comes from.
Audience can hardly see it but it's the most important part of the drum set which is settled in front of a drummer, between his legs.
The sound depends on its materials, shape (mostly its depth), and how to play, so we can see each drummer's taste and identity on it.

This is snare drum. The head of the drum is emperor coated.
