Information about drums and how to play by Mr.H, who is a drummer playing at "SugerSweet"in Osaka.
Getting Started
Even if you are to play a drum in a rental studio, first thing to do will be making adjustments.
Mute
Hold sound volumes or cut specific frequency.
Packaging Tapes and Tissues Easiest way to be prepared and used for adjustments. Not only for creating sounds, it's useful to avoid noise or reverberations generated with playing environments. Always have some packaging tape or tissue handy.
Handkerchief Mute It enables you to change sound and volumes drastically. It's obviously effecitive.
Ring Mute Make a good mute by using an old head which is cut in donut shape. I think this is very effective and efficient. 2 rings can be available from 1 empelor head.
