Neil Peart	His performance of ride cymbals is clealy understood and played in paradiddle like Jeff Porcaro. He is the drummer of RUSH.

Alex Vanhalen	His performance is very flashy and is effective in adding good rhythm to the tune. I like the early albums of Van Halen. He hits the cup of the cymbal with the middle of the stick as an accent.
Stuart Copeland	He is the drummer of Police. His play is characterized in having a twist even in a simple rhythm. For example, he hits the cup of the cymbal with the tip of the stick. Also, he has a very unique technique of playing hihat and splash cymbals.

Don Brewer	He is the drummer of Grand Funk Railroad. His wild performance is very well displayed in their first album, "Grand Funk". Never imitate his performance in incomplete manner.
