Use As Crash Cymbal	By using the ride cymbal as crash cymbal, it will be one of your new variations.
Keeping Wild Rhythm	You can express wild groove or tune by crashing the cymbal delicately. It will be necessary in hard rock. My impression is that this style is much used in old performances. For example, Jimmy Hendrix, Cream, and Free in the late 1960s to 70s. Regarding Beatles or other musicians in 1960s or before, ride cymbals are used mainly in the performance.
Overaction	As shown in the photo below, you can hit the far edge of the ride cymbal with middle part of the stick. If you keep beating rhythm by doing this action, it will be a flashy performance. (I do this performance at least once in a stage.)
