Kind Of Cymbals
There are many kinds of crash cymbals and effect cymbals such as splash and china cymbals.
Splash Cymbal
Various types of drummers use splash cymbals. Because splash cymbals are effective for making short accent. Good for simultaneous shot with snare or accenting at the back beat.

Setting position can be varied. But in most cases, you put it in front of you or the left side as the photos shown above.

Size Standard size would be from 8 inches to 12 inches. The cymbal in the photo is 11 inches.
Tone Tones are characterized by quick start, short sustain, high sound, and small sound.
Tones of "Zildjian" and that of "PAISTE" are slightly different as you might notice.
