You will find a felt washer up on a steel washer that is used for fixing the angle. To prevent from damaging the cymbal, there is a small part attached to the tip of the arm. If this small part is not attached, the cymbal will be easily broken into pieces when it touches the metal part.

Tighten the screw after you have safeguarded with felt. It is advisable that you tighten it loosely.
