Getting Started |
Tunings |
You make adjustments by tightening the bolts attached to the bass drum.
When you fill a new head to the shell, it is advisable to tighten the bolts and leave it for a while so that the new head will fit into the shell.
|
Top Head |
Needless to say, it depends on your taste. But I recommend that you tighten loosely. Generally speaking, it would be slightly tight in jazz music and loose in rock music. |
Front Head |
Basically you might adjust the front head tighter than the top head. It will affect the sustain sound.
Air can go through if you make a hole in the front head. I think the sound would be better if you make a hole in the outer part from the center.
Settings of microphone would be difficult if you don't open a hole in the front head. Because you put the microphone inside the bass drum.
Attack sound would be stronger if you don't put a front head or make a big hole in the front head. |
