Dear All my friends;
I am very glad to announce you our 6th NIPAF'99 in coming this March. As you know our Japanese economy is very hard now and this time I could getonly half budget of normal year from several grant in Japan. Under this reason, we will not be able to use big official space, because those space rental fee is very expensive in Japan. But I know small but good feeling space here and there in Japan. So this time we will tour 5 cities and 12 days with 8 foreign artists and 16 Japanese artists. Anyway this is our next fighting with Japanese conservative society. I want to enjoy it.
We are also planing in this August "4th Asian Performance Art Series" and "NIPAF Summer Seminar". And also in March, 2000 next "7th NIPAF2000". I am afraid Japanese economy will not recover within this one year. If you want to join these event and have chance to apply your government to get travel grant, please let me know. I can send you an official invitation letter from NIPAF, specially for the artist who did join NIPAF before. I always appreciate those artist's work. I am now trying to bring NIPAF2000 to Asian some cities after Japanese schedule. In last December, I wrote 6 application papers for it. I will get their answer in this May or June. After receive it, I will annouce you again. Anyway next information of NIPAF'99 is our pride. Please enjoy it. Always keep in touch! Regards with love from snowing Nagano
