This is a little Hofner,the grooviest little giutar. It's very strage looking,but I always liked it as a kid,and I had a one pickup version la Club 401. I swapped it for something,but i finally got another one. In the [gig] box inside the case these was a little faded set list with "Sheik Of Araby" and everything its owner played. It really feels like the '50s,that period.
Here's one of those GTR jobs I had made by John Greven,circa [974]. I told them not to put all this fancy pearl work on the fingerboard,because I can't tell what fret I7m on. So it's got the greatest perarl inlay,but I've got gaffer's tape over it to know which fret I'm on.
John and I bought identical early-'60s Starts that were pale blue,and they were used first on "Nowhere Man". Then later,when we all took certain substances,I decided to paint mine in day-glo colors. And that was then on "I Am The Walrus" and "All You Need Is Love". There's my gretches. That's my original Duo Jet (L). I gave it away once,but I got it back. One pickup had been changed,but Alan Rogan got it back to original. The red one (C) is like the newer version of the Duo Jet. My wife gave me the orange "Eddie Cochran model" (R) - or Chet Atkins,actually(sorry Chet). 
John and I scraped the varnish off our Epiphone Casinos,and they because much better guitars. I think that works on a lot of guitars. If you take the paint and varnish off,and get the bare wood,it seems to sort of breathe.
When you're going on holiday,they always want you to put the guitar in the hold on the place. So I wanted one small enough to fit in the rack,and I asked (Tony) Zemaitis to make me one. He had to make the jigs specially. The only other person I know who spotted the jig and got one made is Dave Gilmour.
Eric Clapton gave me this Les Paul (L),and then it got kidnapped and taken to Guadalaiara. I had to buy this Mexican guy a Les Paul to get it back. And there's the original Ricky 12-string (R) I used on "A Hrad Day's Night" - the second 12 string Rickenbacker ever made.
There's the [Coral] Electric Sitar they gave me because of the Ravi thing. It's supposedly the very first one; it's got a strip on the back saying " Patent Pending". Speneer Davis saw it once and said,"oh,can I borrow that for the night?" And he hijacked it; I never saw it for about two years - by which time everybody had used one. So I never actually used.
