ホームヘルパー講座スタート！
　
　託児つきのホームヘルパー2級養成講座が、3月からスタートしています。14名の在日フィリピン女性たちが、2ヶ月間の週2回総140時間、日本語の専門用語や社会福祉の理論を学びながら、介護実技や実習を通して資格取得を目指しています。
　ひとりの青年が、インドネシアからの看護研修生を養成しようと会社を起こし、現地で活動していましたが、こころざし半ばで亡くなってしまいました。その青年の両親である中村さん夫妻が、子息の夢を何らかの形で実現しようと会社を継ぎ、注目したのが在日外国人対象のホームヘルパー養成でした。
資格を持たない定住外国人は、単純労働、低賃金労働、危険労働などに従事せざるを得ない状況があります。離婚した移住女性が子どもを育てている場合、子どもを留守番させたり預けたりして、夜のサービス業に就いているのもよく聞きます。
同様の講座はこれまでに東京や名古屋で実施され、実際に女性たちが施設で働いており、好評だそうです。おそらく九州では初めてだということです。中村さんたちは、資格を得た受講生に対して就労サポートを行うべく準備中です。
フィリピンでも同種のスクールが増加しているそうです。FTAによる看護資格をもつ労働者の来日増加を見込んでの日本側での受け入れ準備であるとの危惧もないわけではありませんが、フィリピン女性たちが資格を持って働くことは、力をつけることだと思います。期待しています。

Filipinas’ facing Challenge
Caregiver Program starts!

A training program for second grade caregivers with a free day nursery has started since this March. Over two months and twice a week (140 hours in total), The Fourteen Filipina residents will study social welfare including Japanese technical terms through practicing nursing with the aim of obtaining a license.
A young man, who had founded a company to train nurses in Indonesia died while in pursuit of a dream. His parents Ms.& Mr. Nakamura took over his company wishing their son’s dream come true in place of him, and for their program decided to focus on resident foreigners.
Foreign workers without licenses tend to be forced to do a simple, low-paid and dangerous work. And, it is often heard that especially single mothers, who leave children at home or at nursery, are working in the entertainment industry at night.
The same program has been held in Nagoya and Tokyo and so far, those who completed the course working at facilities have been received favorably. This kind of program is probably the first to be held in Kyushu. Ms.& Mr. Nakamura are preparing to help the graduates find work.
It has been reported in the paper that the number of schools for training caregivers is increasing in the Philippines. Though there might be a misgiving because of FTA, by which the number of nurses from the country will possibly increase, I hope that Filipinas will be empowered more and more.
