Modeler's
Meta-Look, adhesive foil, was used to lighten the back of the tail light
lenses. |
The
back of the front turning signal parts were also covered with the foil,
and the excess foil was trimmed away. |
Small
pieces were carefully glued to the body. Two kinds of glue were used
for the job. Small amount of thick glue was applied to fix the parts
first, then small gap was filled with thin glue to reinforce the
parts.
The windshield parts were also attached by this manner.
|
Finally,
the Bug is completed. Interestingly, the front and rear body panels
are separate, so those who want to build a detailed model can make one
without going through an extra work of cutting the hood.Anyway, this is
a wonderful kit for casual modeling, and I'm satisfied with finish. |
