Volkswagen New Beetle

Modeler's Meta-Look, adhesive foil, was used to lighten the back of the tail light lenses.  
beetle12.jpg (33803 bytes)The back of the front turning signal parts were also covered with the foil, and the excess foil was trimmed away.
beetle12.jpg (33803 bytes)Small pieces were carefully glued to the body.  Two kinds of glue were used for the job.  Small amount of thick glue was applied to fix the parts first, then small gap was filled with thin glue to reinforce the parts. 

The windshield parts were also attached by this manner.

 

beetle12.jpg (33803 bytes)Finally, the Bug is completed.  Interestingly, the front and rear body panels are separate, so those who want to build a detailed model can make one without going through an extra work of cutting the hood.

Anyway, this is a wonderful kit for casual modeling, and I'm satisfied with finish.
