A village-run hot spring at the Fuefuki River ![]() The public hot spring of Mitomi-mura in the furthest part Route 145 (Chichibu to Kofu) is Fuefuki-no-yu. Mitomi-mura is in the valley of the Fuefuki River. The Fuefuki-no-yu is in about the entrance of the village. A baseball field is next to Fuefuki-no-yu. ![]() This is a relaxation establishment for the local people. This equipment is simple and clean. ![]() ![]() The water of the hot spring is transparent, and it is no smell. There are two inside baths and an open-air bath. The source of hot spring is not so high temperature. The water of the open-air bath is source water,so we feel the water lukewarm. The man who soaked first is dozing in the open-air bath. There are two bathtubs in the inside bath.One bathtub is lukewarm, and the other side is hot. Which hot water is heated, too. ![]() A lounge is very quiet without Karaoke. There is no restaurant, so you must bring a lunch by yourself. A local lady group relaxed in the lounge. ![]() |

![]() It is a famous temple at the civil war era in Enzan City. This temple was attacked and burned by the forces of Oda Nobunaga after the death of Takeda Singen. At that time, the master of this temple(named Kaisen) said "If you concentrate your mind, you feel that it is cool even in the fire.", and killed himself. This temple was rebuilt to admire Singen by Tokugawa Ieyasu. The scene of the precincts is wonderful in the time of the cherry blossoms. ![]() A Japanese garden behind the inner temple is a Japanese important cultural asset. ![]() A dumpling is sold. ![]() ![]() It was established in 1330. In the old days it was a one of the ten big temples at the Kanto district. Feudal lord Nikaido invited a Buddhism bishop Muso in 2nd year of Gentoku, and his mansion was made a monastery. This temple prospered after the Buddhism bishop Kaisen trusted by Singen became a master. Singen presented a domain in this temple in 1564. Singen made it the temple of his family. The museum of Singen in the precincts always introduces precious materials related to Takeda to the public. |
![]() Nishizawa valley is the big valley of Oku-chichib at the upper reach of the Fuefuki River. It is the biggest highlight of Mitomi- mura. There is Karisaka pass to lead to Chichibu on the upper reach of the valley. The way to Karisaka pass is a mountain trail. The Karisaka tunnel (Route 140. It is charged.) which connected Saitama Prefecture with Yamanashi Prefecture was constructed in 1998. ![]() We ate Soba at the drive-in "Mount-park Nishizawa" in the entrance of Nishizawa valley.
