On February 20 to 24, 2005, Mr. & Mrs. Greenwood visited historical Christian land of 17th century Nagasaki, Shimabara and Amakusa.
First Day
They flew to Nagasaki and driven a rented car. They visited Pt. Kurosaki where famous novel about Christian missionary was written by Shusaku Endo. After visiting Memorial Hall of the writer and Catholic Church, they moved to the hotel over looking the city of Nagasaki.

Second Day
They visited various places in Nagasaki. Then they moved to Unzen.

Third Day
After staying in Unzen hot spring, they visited New Lava dome of Mt. Fugen which was erupted in 1990-1995. Then they visited Shimabara castle and Remains of Hara castle where approx. 30,000 Christian riots fought against federal load of Shimabara in 1637.

They moved to Amakusa Island via ferry and stayed in Hotel Alegria.

Forth Day
They have made a round trip of the Amakusa Island.

Catholic Church at Sakizu was built by Hulb in 1934. Catholic Church at Ohe was built by French missionary Garnie in 1932.

Fifth Day
It was raining all day. They moved to Kumamoto via many bridges and visited Kumamoto Castle and Suizenji Garden. Thy have run the car over 566km in 5 days. They flew back to home.
