   For the time being the JOUYOU kanji database only contains 1620 characters.

Latest addition: kanji 1561 to 1620 (March 2006).
Other series will be added progressively in order to cover all of the JOUYOU kanji.

   You can also review the kanji grouped according to Level 4 (easiest), Level 3 and Level 2 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.
(These series contain 1000 kanji, many of which are different from those found in the JOUYOU kanji database.)

   This programme was initially put online in December 2001, with 420 kanji.
