The test screening of the "My Neighbors The Yamadas" for press was done on July 1, 2. After July 3, the preview for common spectators has been held in the whole country. The Director Takahata and Producer Suzuki are going round the whole country for the advertisement of the "My Neighbors The Yamadas".

Situation of preview

The schedule on July 7 was that The doors is opened at 18:00 and it is screening at 18:30. This day was a weekday, so the pace of spectators gathered was slow. In the preview association of the "The Princess Mononoke" 2 years ago, many people were gathered before several hours of opening the doors. On the other hand, in the preview association of the "My Neighbors The Yamadas", had not a too long procession very much. However, until 18:30, tha hall was almost full.

The preview was very flourishing. All spectators burst out laughing many times. The reason that the film was very interesting. The tempo of the film was very fast, so there might have been none of spectators who lost interest in this movie.

Spectator's generation extended to many topics. Especially, an elderly age group stood out. There were a lot of families, too. The "My Neighbors The Yamadas" offered a lot of topics which promoted family's communications.

When screening ended, the atmosphere of the hall was quite good. A lot of spectators praised the film. A lot of people said, "I want to see it once more, or many times!". However, there was a person who said opposite, "The movie is extremely simple and lucid. It is not difficult like the "The Princess Mononoke". So we need not see it many times."

However, it can expect the reputation by word of mouth communication for "My Neighbors The Yamadas". Therefore, it will acquire a certain amount of spectators by the road show.

The "My Neighbors The Yamadas" is released on July 17 in Japan. It schedules the stage greeting to be done at the first day at Marunouchi Piccadilly 1 , Yurakucho, Chiyoda ward, Tokyo. Director Isao Takahata and main voice actor will be perform to the stage greeting.
