The white butterfly is distributed across all continents except Antarctica, with about 1,000 known species. It includes familiar butterflies such as the cabbage white and clouded yellow. The forewing length of adults is about 2-6 cm, making them a medium-sized group overall. The wings of adult butterflies have few or no projections. The color of the wings is primarily white or yellow, with black or red patterns visible on them. These patterns vary by species and gender.
